Pick

The Chinese Pick is a peculiar weapon that is not commonly seen by Westerners.

The pick is a blunt weapon with a short handle, ending in a bronze or iron fist clutching a spike, or "Judge Brush" as it is often called by the martial arts culture. The fist can also take the shape of some certain Buddhist hand signs. Traditionally, it was fashioned of either bronze or iron.

It is most often used in a pair, although single, pole-length versions of this weapon also exist.
The spike is used for stabbing, and the fist is used for bludgeoning.

The pick was also seen as a ceremonial weapon or "Guard of Honor" Yízhàng (儀仗).

Only a handful of Kung Fu styles still use this weapon today.
