Meteor Hammer

The Meteor Hammer, or Liúxīng Chuí (流星錘 ) is a soft, or flexible weapon (both concepts are synonymous in Chinese). The Meteor Hammer is comprised of lengths of rope or chain between 5 and 8 feet long, with a hard metal head, usually in the shape of a melon, not unlike that of the melon hammer mace (立瓜錘).
The metal head. made of bronze or iron, usually weighed between 1 and 2 pounds. The Meteor Hammer is also commonly seen with a small, decorative flag where the head attaches to the rope.

When used correctly, it was deadly on the battlefield. The Meteor Hammer was first seen during the 6 Dynasties period. (around 200 C.E.)

Also some double-headed versions of this weapon have been used, called the Double Meteor Hammer, or Shuāng Liúxīng chuí (雙流星錘 ).
